Healthcare Training Institute Admissions Applicants seeking for the Healthcare Training Institute Admissions must possess a high school diploma or General Education Certificate (G.E.D.). The applicant will be interviewed by an admissions representative and then will be given a tour of the school. Each applicant must pass a basic skills examination for admission. All applicants must have a driver’s license, social security card and/or passport. All applicants must be 18 years of age on the first day of class or have parental consent. Requirements for each program are: Medical Assistant Technician H.S. Diploma or GED Completed Application Medical Billing Specialist H.S. Diploma or GED Satisfactory Entrance Exam Completed Application Medical Coding Specialist 2 years experience in Medical Billing or H.T.J. Medical Billing Certificate and completed application Diagnostic Medical Sonographer 1. Entrance exam is not required if applicant has fifty (50) college credits. 2. Entrance exam and twenty-five (25) college credits. 3. Entrance, H.S. Diploma/GED and Medical Assistant Certificate or two (2) years medical field experience. Any of the above MUST be accompanied by a completed application. Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound Technologist 1. Entrance exam is not required if applicant has fifty (50) college credits. 2. Entrance exam and twenty-five (25) college credits. 3. Entrance, H.S. Diploma/GED and Medical Assistant Certificate or two (2) years medical field experience. Patient Care Technician H.S. Diploma or GED Completed Application Patient Assistant Technician H.S. Diploma or GED Satisfactory Entrance Exam Completed Application Certified Nursing Assistant H.S. Diploma or GED / Satisfactory Entrance Exam Physical examination Criminal Background Investigation (CBI) Fingerprints and completed application. Combo EKG/Phlebotomy H.S. Diploma or GED Satisfactory Entrance Exam Completed Application * Healthcare Training Institute will determine the applicant's eligibility on the basis of the results of the entrance educational background and personal interview. * Healthcare Training Institute reserves the right to change requirements at any time. |
